What a clogged coil looks like

Drag the handle. On the left, a condenser coil packed with pine needles and pollen. On the right, the same coil rinsed clean. A blocked coil cannot move heat well, so the system runs longer to do the same job.

Good to know

Questions, answered

What if you find a problem?
You'll see it before anything happens. The tech shows you a photo, explains what it means in plain English and gives you a price. Nothing is repaired or replaced without your OK. If you'd rather wait, your $49 tune-up is still complete.
Is refrigerant included?
Reading your refrigerant pressures with gauges is included. Adding refrigerant is not. If your system is low, we'll tell you and quote it before doing anything.
I have a heat pump. Is this the right service?
Yes. A heat pump is an air conditioner that can also run in reverse to heat your home. The tune-up checks the same outdoor unit, indoor blower and coil, and thermostat it relies on to keep you warm this winter.
Do I pay anything online?
No. Booking asks for your name, mobile, email and address, never a card. Nothing is charged online.
How long does it take?
Plan on about an hour at your home. If the tech finds something that needs a closer look it can take longer, and you'll know why. You book a 2-hour arrival window, so you know when to expect us.
Do I need to be home?
Yes, please. Several checks happen inside, at the thermostat, the indoor unit and the air filter, and the tech will go over the report with you before leaving.
I have more than one system. Is it $49 each?
Book one visit, then call (850) 750-5465 and we'll confirm the price for your home before the visit. No surprises at the door.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Service Masters is a licensed Florida HVAC contractor, license number CAC1820154.
